PostHeaderIcon New Moon Released! Making Lots of Money!

The New Moon release topped $20,000,000 opening night!
Fans everywhere are squealing!
Critics everywhere either like it or don't!
And so on!
I have browsed reviews of the film, and have found that female reviewers and fans of the novels liked the film better than guys and people who hated the first film.
No surprise there.
There have been some calls for 'more action!  Look at all those werewolves and vampires!  We need more action!'
And some complaints of things being drawn out just a bit . . .too . . . much . . .
Many people feel that Jacob Black is a great character!  Surely girls everywhere will turn from Team Edward to Team Jacob based on this film!*
Other people feel that it is not good that Edward is largely absent, while many say this is good, because Jacob is a better actor, better character, wears a shirt less, more attractive, etc, etc.
Some people are saying that the loyalty to the novel is definitely a plus for fans, but some people don't like that because they didn't like the novel.**

PostHeaderIcon Breaking News: New Moon Soundtrack to be released early

Amazingly enough, the New Moon soundtrack is going to be released early.
As in, you can buy it on Friday (October 16th)!
And it's because everyone wants it!
Yes, demand has influenced the producers and they are giving fans a treat by releasing it more than a month before the film is released!
Now, if only they released the film early due to demand . . . but don't hold your breath.*

In other news, Robert Pattinson can't get a date because girls just want to date Edward Cullen and not Robert Pattinson.**

*Because it probably won't happen
**He could always give up the role of Edward, but that isn't likely to happen either.

PostHeaderIcon New Stuff to Feed Your Addiction

Exciting new products will be made available to Twihards near and far!

For those of you who like to brag about how well you know Twilight, and happen to own a Wii, there is the new  'Scene It? Twilight' which will be released October 1st.

Yes, that is next week.

Yes, you will be able to wait until then.

No, I don't know how (just believe in yourself and preorder it).

The DVD board game edition will cost you a mere $30, however . . . (this is where it gets really exciting)

It will also be released on the Wii this fall!  And next year, on the DS!

The Wii edition will have over 500 mulitple choice questions, meaning it will take you at least a week to answer them all,* and will have two gameplay modes (single and multi).  This means that even if you get the board game, you might want to get the Wii version too, since it will be a bit different.**

PostHeaderIcon New New Moon Trailer!

During the VMAs, many exciting things happened, such as Kanye West being a bit of a jerk to Taylor Swift, but more importantly, yet another New Moon trailer was released.  This is definitely the best one yet and shows lots of close-ups of the notorious Volturi, especially the sadistic Jane (Dakota Fanning).  Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart also made minor appearances at the VMAs, but even that was not as exciting as the trailer, which indeed showed quite a bit of the two stars.

The trailer is on IMDb, and if you haven't read the book, beware of spoilers.  This very exciting preview reveals a lot of the plot, even showing Bella's hallucinations and cliff diving fiasco and Edward's crazed Romeo antics.

Many Team Edward fans will be happy to know that Edward appears shirtless in this trailer, and it would seem that he has been working his abdominals almost as much as Jacob.  Either that or someone pulled some very impressive photoshop-type moves.

PostHeaderIcon You know what I don't get?

What is it with Hollywood and all their ‘look these two are dating’ ‘oh no they’re not’ ‘oh they broke up’ ‘no they’re still dating’ nonsense.

Like with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
Sure, they play lovers in a film franchise, and are clearly very close, so I suppose people like to think they’re dating, but they have told the media that they are not.
So why can’t they just leave it at that?

PostHeaderIcon New Moon in Magazines

It's not just Jacob Black who is making headlines.

Sure, Taylor Lautner is on the cover of the October issue of Teen Vogue, and they do interview him and he talks about Bella and Jacob's relationship, seeing as that is all he ever talks about (except when he's talking about his abs, over which he and many others are very excited), but there are other magazines jumping on the Twilight Saga bandwagon.

Us Weekly, for example, is doing a 'Sexy Stars of New Moon' issue for September 25th.  Fervor is such that it can already be pre-ordered at Barnes and Noble.  It is suspected that this will focus on the other stars as well as  Lautner's abs.

In the latest French Premiere magazine, Robert Pattinson makes a cover shot, and there are already claims of his alleged hotness to be found splashed across the internet as a result of his photo shoot.  Interestingly enough, the focus is not on his abs, though as seen opposite this article, they are displayed to the general public.

PostHeaderIcon Good things come to those who wait.

Shocking as it is to at least some portion of the world, the new film Bandslam didn't exactly slam to the top of the film charts, despite the promise of a new New Moon trailer.  There were at least ten other films that did better in the United States this weekend.

It would appear that film producers felt that since the trailer has not thus far made enough people want to go see Bandslam, and since there's bootleg copies on the internet, they may as well release a high quality version to IMDb (please note that this is speculation only; it is remotely possible that there were other factors involved regarding this decision).

There are many questions remaining to all parties concerned, such as:

1.  Why does no one want to watch Vanessa Hudgens?  Is it because teens prefer her in High School Musical?  Or did people really not pay attention to who was in Bandslam at all?

2.  Does marketing for a film with the promise of another film's trailer just not work in this day and time?

PostHeaderIcon More to be Seen of Jacob Black

For those of you waiting expectantly for scenic views of Jacob Black in the new trailer being released tomorrow, I have decided to give you a teaser.

If you look to your right, you will see a picture of Taylor Lautner from the film, and he is most certainly not wearing a shirt.

Readers of the book know that Jacob Black goes around with little covering his body in this segment of the story due to the fact that shapeshifting tends to destroy his clothing.

It would appear that filmmakers have decided to stay true to the book in this regard, and are fulfilling the promise of shapeshifting Native American boys in various states of undress.  As far as we know, this is the sort of thing Stephenie Meyer could only imagine.
