PostHeaderIcon Dear New Moon,

I have such high hopes for you. You are my favorite book of the series. You have a great cast. You will have more Jacob Black. You will have Bella acting all depressed and then going to Italy and whatnot. And motorcycles and cliff-diving. In short, I think you have a lot of potential. You will also have a new director. I am not going to say the director for Twilight, Catherine Hardwicke, was bad, because that is not what I am getting to at all. But think of the Harry Potter franchise. Chris Columbus directed the first two, and they were very enjoyable. Then Alfonso Cuaron directed the third one and I nearly wet myself it was so good (when I say wet myself, I mean I was on the verge of tears, not that I had drippy drawers). Part of that was also because I liked the third book better than the first two. Part of it, though, was that he had a new and unique vision that he brought to the film. My dream is that this sort of thing will happen for you too. Chris Weitz will be directing you. He has a very varied and eclectic career. He even directed The Golden Compass, another one of my favorites, though it did not become a smash hit. I am going to remain optimistic about what he can bring to you. I believe that the New Moon film will bring more people together in Twilight fandom. All over the world, people will rejoice that they have found common ground. They will have found that everyone can identify with vampires and werewolves, because even supernatural creatures have a human side. I hope that they will see the joy that can be found in the young adult and fantasy/paranormal genres no matter how old they are. And dear New Moon, I believe in you. Your Eternal Lover, Anni
