So you want to read the book?

Well, guess what? You better go ahead and buy it, because the libraries have waiting lists a mile long.

I happen to work in a library, so I know.

Customer: “Where are the Twilight books?”
Librarian: “Those have waiting lists. Which one did you want to read?”
Customer: “The first one.”
Librarian: “Okay, you would be number 546 in line.”
Customer: “Uh?”
Librarian: “Yeah, they’re right popular, they are.”

And so.

Now, if you’re willing to wait, go ahead and add your name to the list and hope your information is updated so they can notify you when it’s ready. Otherwise . . .

Well, if you liked the movie, you will like the book, so cough up a few bucks and buy it.
I thought about adding my name to the list . . . but then people kept gushing over them, so I just went ahead and bought it, because that is what I do (bad librarian, I know).

This is a purchase I do not regret.

I love my Twilight books.

They’re pretty and shiny.

I read them twice!

I end up loaning them out too, so if you don’t want to buy it –yet—then ask your pally who owns it if you can borrow it.

She might say, ‘no,’ seeing as she doesn’t want you to read it in the bathroom (that is why my mother is not allowed to touch my books—unclean!) so you may still have to buy it.

Ah well.

At least you can get them in paperback, which is cheaper (no, of course mine are not paperback; hardback is much prettier and shinier).

In short, my advice is to buy it.

You will love it.

In fact, you may as well buy the whole set.  In hardback!  Oh, how pretty they will be!

And then you can be one of those annoying people who watch the movie and say, ‘that’s not how they did it in the book’ and your non-Twihard friends will either hate you or say, ‘hmm, mayhap I should read the book too . . .’
